ParallelCook Terms of Service

Article 1 (Introduction and Scope)

These Terms of Service (hereinafter "Terms") define the conditions for using the smartphone application "ParallelCook" (hereinafter "the Service") provided by waya (hereinafter "we" or "us").

These Terms apply to all functions, content, and support provided by us in connection with the Service.

Article 2 (Service Overview)

The Service is an application that supports the management of cooking processes when preparing multiple dishes simultaneously. Key features include:

• Recipe Management: Recording and editing dish names, steps, required time, memos, etc.
  * This Service does not provide a feature to automatically retrieve (scrape) recipe information from external websites.
• Parallel Cooking Support: Integrating steps from multiple recipes to propose and display efficient cooking procedures.
• Timer Function: Timer settings tailored to cooking steps.

Article 3 (Eligibility)

• Individuals aged 13 or older
• Individuals who agree to these Terms
• Individuals who do not create accounts with false information

Article 4 (Account Management)

4.1 Account Registration

• Authentication using a Google Account or Apple ID may be required to use the Service.
• Please manage your authentication information appropriately.

4.2 Account Responsibility

Users are responsible for all activities related to their accounts.

Article 5 (Prohibited Acts)

The following acts are prohibited:

• Registering false information
• Infringing on the rights of others
• Unauthorized access or attacks on the system
• Unauthorized use for commercial purposes
• Acts contrary to public order and morals
• Reverse engineering, analyzing, modifying, or reproducing the Service
• Other acts that we deem inappropriate

Article 6 (Handling of Content)

6.1 User Content

• Copyright for data such as recipes and memos registered by the user (hereinafter "User Content") belongs to the user.
• We may use, store, reproduce, and process User Content to the extent necessary for the provision, operation, and improvement of the Service. However, we will not publish personally identifiable information without user consent.

6.2 Our Content

Intellectual property rights for the Service's content (UI, design, functions, etc.) belong to us.

Article 7 (Service Provision, Modification, and Suspension)

• We may modify, add, or delete service content.
• We may temporarily suspend the Service for system maintenance, etc.
• We may terminate the Service for significant reasons.

Article 8 (Usage Restrictions, Account Suspension, and Deletion)

We may restrict usage, temporarily suspend, or delete the account of a user without prior notice in the following cases:

• If these Terms are violated
• If there is fraudulent or illegal activity, or a risk thereof
• If we otherwise deem it inappropriate

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

9.1 Service Quality

We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or continuity of the Service.

9.2 AI-Generated Recipe Accuracy

The accuracy of recipes (ingredients, amounts, steps, etc.) generated or analyzed by the AI feature of the Service is at the sole judgment and verification of the user. AI-generated results may differ from the original recipe. When using recipe information provided by the Service for actual cooking, please verify and judge at your own responsibility.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for damages arising from the use of the Service to the extent permitted by law. We assume no responsibility for accidents (burns, cuts, fires, etc.) that occur during cooking. Users are responsible for cooking safely.

9.4 Data Loss

We are not responsible for the loss or corruption of user data. We recommend that users back up important data themselves.

9.5 Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for the impact of failures or changes in linked third-party services (Google, Apple, Firebase, etc.).

Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan, and the Tokyo District Court shall be the exclusive agreed court of jurisdiction.

Article 11 (Changes to Terms)

Important changes will be notified in the app or on the website. The modified Terms will be effective upon posting on the Service.
